Team Impression Completes £2m Investment With An Autobond MINI 76 TH

Leeds printer Team Impression has completed a £2m investment programme with the installation of an Autobond MINI 76 TH laminator. During 2006 the company has taken delivery of additional multi-colour B1 press and high-end digital output facilities. 'A lot of our work is printed, finished and despatched within a day, which is extremely difficult if any job has to be sent out of the factory,' says operations director Mark Whitby. 'In addition, trade houses generally have a minimum charge, which added a disproportionate amount to small jobs. Bringing laminating in-house seemed the obvious solution and so we decided that this should be part of this current investment programme. 'Autobond's MINI 76 TH has proved to be exactly what we needed and has been so straightforward to operate that we now have seven staff capable of using it. This is a great benefit because we run our presses twenty-four hours a day and so can easily ensure that there is always a person on-site who is trained to operate the laminator.' Team Impression laminates a high proportion of the work output on its Indigo 3500 and 5000 systems as well as that printed on its sheet-fed litho presses and says that both are handled successfully on the MINI 76 TH. 'I can't fault Autobond or its equipment,' says Mr Whitby. 'Autobond was very helpful at fitting in with our changing delivery needs and the laminator has done exactly what we wanted it to since its installation.'
