Fujifilm today announces that Ipex 2010 has proved to be a resounding success, with a record number of sales and leads taken at the show. The Fujifilm stand was buzzing for the duration of the show as the Jet Press 720 presentations drew in huge crowds and real interest from a large number of printers.

Noel Tatt, suppliers of greeting cards for all occasions, and Impress Publishing, a leading supplier of Christmas cards and printed products to the charity market, has signed an order for a second Xerox® 700 digital press on the Fujifilm stand at Ipex.

The annual PrintIT! Awards, now a well-established event in the print industry calendar has taken place at Ipex, the global event for print, publishing and media. Attracting a host of industry figures, print professionals and finalist schools, the event celebrated the hard work and achievements of the thousands of students who took part in this year’s PrintIT! competition. During the event Daniel Smith, a pupil from St Ives School - a specialist technology college in Cornwall was awarded the overall prize of a state-of-the-art iPad and an exclusive all-expenses paid trip to Paris to attend Canon Expo in October.
STRONG INTERNATIONAL TURNOUT AND BUSINESS DEALS AT IPEX SIGNAL NEW PERIOD OF INDUSTRY OPTIMISM
At the mid-way stage of Ipex 2010, the organisers are delighted with the overall visitor numbers which are in line with those of 2006, despite industry consolidation. By the end of day three (Thursday, 20th May), over 35,000 visitors from more than 120 countries had walked through Ipex’s doors, with international attendance up by 16%, representing 56% of the overall visitors.
DAVID PRESKETT ANNOUNCED AS IPEX 2014 PRESIDENT
The Ipex organisers are delighted to announce that David Preskett has been appointed President of Ipex 2014. He will assume the role from the current President George Clarke when Ipex 2010 closes on 25th May.
Buxton invests in XMF: largest European installation for Fujifilm
Magazine printer, Buxton Press, winner of PrintWeek’s prestigious Printing Company of the Year award, has today signed for what will be Europe’s largest installation of Fujifilm’s XMF cross-media workflow. Confirmed today on the Fujifilm stand at Ipex 2010, Buxton will install the entire suite of XMF solutions, including the online job submission and proofing module, XMF Remote, to handle in excess of 500,000 PDF magazine pages it processes each year.
