FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO: Shigetaka Komori) has developed Acuity LED 1600 (tentative, hereinafter ‚Acuity LED 1600‘), a printer that supports UV-curable ink and features a long-life and low-power-consumption LED light source. It will join a lineup of wide-format inkjet printers for producing large-size posters, in-store POP and window displays. Acuity LED 1600 achieves the best-in-class productivity of 20 square meters per hour*1 while offering exceptional image quality at the same time.

Fujifilm today announces that over 50 products from three of its Sericol screen printing textile ink ranges have been approved by the Soil Association Certification to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) for use in organic textile processing.

FUJIFILM Europe today announces that it will implement a price increase in Europe, Middle East, and Africa for its Sericol and Uvivid ink ranges and associated screen emulsions and chemicals with effect from 1st September 2011. The increase will vary by product and by country but will lie within the ranges detailed below:

Fujifilm installs first Jet Press 720 demonstration machine in Europe

Fujifilm today announces that it has installed the first Jet Press 720 in Europe in the company’s demonstration centre in Brussels. The installation was completed in late June 2011, with the company now carrying out final preparations for customer demonstrations which are due to start very soon. This follows the completion of a successful beta trial in Japan earlier this summer. The first European beta site is scheduled over the next few months, with full commercial availability in Europe planned for Q4 2011.

Vibixa switches to Fujifilm’s lo-chem plates to boost output while reducing energy and chemistry consumption

Brillia HD LH-PJE plates and FLH-Z ‘ZAC’ processor make for a greener outlook and greater flexibility at folded-carton converting and printing company

Vibixa, a packaging converting company, has switched to a Fujifilm FLH-ZII 125 ‘ZAC’ processor and Brillia HD LH-PJE plates to reduce its carbon footprint. The Cheltenham-based, 1SO 14001-accredited company provides printed cartons for the food and household sectors, and chose Fujifilm after a 12 month consultation process with various plate manufacturers to help it minimise energy and chemistry consumption and boost output.
