FESPA’s Nordic Congress - hosted in Gothenburg, Sweden from 7th to 8th April 2011 in partnership with its member associations in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden - was a resounding success, according to feedback from delegates.

FESPA has appointed Neil Felton to the position of Managing Director, Exhibitions & Events, reporting to CEO Nigel Steffens.

Members of FESPA’s national associations in Hungary, Russia and Poland have benefitted from a programme of free Spring events, two of which were co-funded through FESPA’s global reinvestment programme.

In line with its commitment to serving screen, wide format and digital printers in the Americas, FESPA has announced the appointment of Jose Luis Anaya Buenrostro to the position of Sales Manager for its operations in Mexico and Latin America.

FESPA’s Sales and Marketing Director, Marcus Timson, has pledged to run the Virgin London Marathon, on the 17^th April 2011, in aid of The Children’s Trust. Now in the midst of intensive training, Marcus hopes to raise £2000 for the charity, which provides the best possible care, therapy and education for children with multiple disabilities, brain injury and complex health needs.

Following last week’s announcement about the first FESPA Nordic Congress, taking place from 7^th – 8^th April 2011 in Gothenburg, Sweden, FESPA has revealed Volvo Trucks as the latest addition to its already impressive line up of participating companies.

Following the success of the inaugural European Congress in Brussels in November 2010, FESPA will host its first FESPA Nordic Congress from 7^th – 8^th April 2011 in Gothenburg, Sweden with the support of FESPA’s member associations in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The first FESPA European Congress involving FESPA member associations has taken place at The Egg in Brussels, Belgium, attracting over 80 delegates. Focusing on the theme “Continuing to Innovate”, the event looked at the latest innovations in ink, digital technologies, green issues, sustainability, communication in print and sales and marketing.

More than 500 students, printers, print-buyers and marketing communication professionals have attended the second SERPA event in Helsinki, Finland. Run by FESPA member association, the Finnish Association of Screen and Special Printing, the free, two day exhibition and seminar programme was held at the city’s Marina Congress Centre.

Michel Caza and Ricardo Rodríguez Delgado, members of the FESPA board of directors, have each been honoured with independent industry awards acknowledging the strong and continuing commitment they have demonstrated to the screen and digital printing technologies over a combined 83 years.
