Quad/Graphics Endorses 'Gold Award' Relationship With Domino At Drupa
Release date: 25.06.2008
Quad/Graphics, the world's largest privately owned printing company has named Domino Printing Sciences plc 'Capital Equipment Supplier of the Year' as part of its annual 'Supplier of the Year' programme.
At drupa 2008, Bill Grauschar, Vice-President of Finishing at Quad/Graphics presented the prestigious Gold Award to Jonathan Phillips, Business Development Director for Domino's Commercial Printing Division in North America. The award recognises Domino's contribution of key value-added services to USA-based Quad/Graphics in a partnership that began over twenty years ago.
Domino's largest customer, Quad/Graphics currently has around 1,000 Domino printers in its manufacturing portfolio, including 680 high speed eight-line addressing JetArray printers, nearly 200 Bitjet binary printers, 50 A-Series continuous ink jet printers and a number of K-Series variable data drop on demand and L-Series thermal transfer printers.
As part of Quad/Graphics' Award Programme, Domino underwent extensive assessment including evaluation of its supply chain, technological and environmental processes, as well as customer satisfaction, on-time deliveries, cost savings and business initiatives.
'Our Supplier of the Year programme, now in its fifth year, is an important tool for giving suppliers the knowledge they need to help us achieve ongoing cost reductions and productivity improvements,' says John Fowler, CFO of Quad/Graphics. 'Our success is based, to a large extent, on the partnerships of our valued suppliers. We are well aware that together we can achieve more than we can as individual companies.'
Jonathan Phillips says, 'We were delighted to be honoured with this award at drupa 2008, which is testament to our commitment to the long partnership we have enjoyed with Quad/Graphics. Through working closely together we have been able to set both industry and global standards.'
