Prior to heading up Domino's French office for four years, Buisson has acquired extensive experience within the printing and packaging sector in various commercial roles. Most notably, Buisson served as Director of the Commercial Printing Business Unit, based out of the company's head office in the UK. In a role that also included a position on Domino's executive committee, Buisson oversaw responsibility for Domino's commercial printing business world-wide, including control of sales channels and product strategy.
As President of Domino Amjet Inc, Buisson will assume overall responsibility for company strategy and growth within the US for both the commercial printing and coding & marking aspects of the business.
Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Bond, Managing Director of Domino Printing Sciences plc, says, 'The appointment of Gilles will be instrumental in developing the commercial strategy that will drive the next phase of growth our US business. Gilles has consistently delivered with each new challenge he has undertaken at Domino and his experience and knowledge makes him the ideal candidate for this key position.'
Gilles Buisson adds, 'This is an important time for Domino Amjet and I am thrilled at being appointed to head-up what is Domino's largest marketplace. One of my key objectives will be to build on a solid existing base to further increase Domino's performance while growing sales and market share.
Along with his extensive industry experience and appreciation of the marketplace, Buisson is certain to bring an immense amount of energy to his new role. Born in the French Alps, his outdoor pursuits include skiing, cycling and golf, and six-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong is one of his main role models.
Gilles Buisson takes up the position from William Eshmont who has left the company.
