Domino Launches Series Of New Products And Integrated Solutions At PPMA 2006
Release date: 26.09.2006
Domino UK Ltd, part of world-leading ink jet and laser solutions provider, Domino Printing Sciences plc, is using PPMA 2006 to launch a new company-wide strategic initiative, known as the plus Programme. Domino's plus Programme has resulted in the introduction of two new offerings to date, which are being introduced to the market for the first time at PPMA on the Domino Stand (E30); The new C-Series plus range, an extension to the company's well-established outer case coders, ancillaries and software, and TotalCare plus, a new support programme.
The exciting new offerings comprise not only cutting edge secondary ink jet printing technology via new additions to the company's printer stable, but also includes a new set of aftermarket and service products. Among the many benefits to customers include greater database connectivity, an open interface and enhanced software capabilities. The new service products will provide customers with the flexibility to choose a tailored package designed to suit today's complex manufacturing environment.
Under the theme 'Traceability and Product Security Solution', the company will also show the UK's first demonstration of its 'Traceability & Product Security Solution'. This revolutionary technology involves coding a Data Matrix number plate on each product, which is authenticated and validated on-line using a serialised product tracking solution which captures, moves and reads the data.
In addition to Domino's new launches at the show, visitors can expect to see an array of proven laser coding and ink jet printing technology from its established product ranges. Among these will be key solutions from Domino's renowned Scribing Laser range; including the S-Series and DSL1 lasers - which will demonstrate coding applications onto chocolate boxes and plastic bottles respectively.
From its high-resolution C-Series large character ink jet printer range, Domino will show its multi-head ink base solution. Launched less than a year ago, the multi-head base at PPMA will feature two remote C6000 ink heads to code right and left sides of boxes and will run in conjunction with a separate Alpha Dot Midjet. C-Series barcodes will be verified online with the Domino Barcode validation kit.
Also on display will be Domino's hugely successful A-Series continuous ink jet printers, developed to offer a wide range of reliable coding solutions. The A-Series is the world's best-selling continuous ink jet printer with well over 70,000 installations worldwide. The A-Series range at PPMA includes the A200 variant, capable of printing up to four lines of text with a variety of print formats that include logos, bar codes/dot codes, automatic serial numbering/batch coding and real time clocks.
Commenting on Domino's plans for PPMA, Simon Cox, Domino UK's General Manager, says, 'Our unrivalled commitment to push the boundaries in the development of ink jet and laser technology, will once again see us introduce a new integrated range of products and services that will improve the overall equipment effectiveness of manufacturers' and offer them the competitive edge to stay ahead of their rivals. PPMA remains an ideal platform to introduce new concepts and we look forward to welcoming visitors on our stand to provide them with a preview of our new developments.'
