Domino, the world leader in in-line variable data printing and product identification, reports a highly successful debut in the full-colour, full-width printing market following the introduction at IPEX 2010 of its N600 reel-to-reel piezo ink jet label press.

Underscoring its ability to fulfil the varied and demanding product identification requirements of manufacturers, Domino UK Ltd (stand no. 5615) is displaying an impressive showcase of complete product to pallet coding solutions at this year’s Total Exhibition. Domino’s product line up is spearheaded by its new V400 high-speed, multi-lane thermal transfer printer (TTO) for flexible packaging applications, as well as the G-Series of thermal ink jet (TIJ) printers, which offer manufacturers new benefits in primary and secondary applications.

The significant new benefits in primary and secondary applications delivered by Domino’s thermal ink jet (TIJ) printing technology will be much in evidence at this year’s Total Show, as the company displays its high speed, high quality G-Series of TIJ printers.  Part of Domino’s extensive portfolio of product identification technologies, the G-Series offers a broader use and application of TIJ products in specific market areas, in particular the pharmaceutical sector.

IPEX 2010 marks a watershed for Domino, with the Cambridge, UK-based company using the show as the launch pad for a brand new range of four/five colour digital presses. The move positions Domino as a mainstream supplier of full colour digital printing equipment as well as being the acknowledged market leader in in-line variable data printing.

In addition to its own stand (17-D900), visitors to IPEX can expect to see widespread representation of Domino’s world leading in-line variable data printing (VDP) technology throughout the show, as a host of OEM partners showcase its versatile functionality across key commercial printing applications.

Making its debut at IPEX 2010 is the Domino K600 high resolution single colour piezo ink jet system. The latest addition to the successful K-Series line-up, the 600dpi K600, satisfies the growing market requirement to digitally print complete products. Print widths range from 108mm (4.25”) to 780mm (30.8”), with scalability being achieved by mounting print modules across a bar.

With the IPEX stage set for the much-anticipated launch of Domino’s N600 range of four/five colour digital presses, the company has today announced that it will partner with EskoArtwork to deliver their Digital Front End for the new products. In so doing, Domino is certain to increase the appeal of the N600 further, complementing its best-in-class speed and quality with workflow integration, colour management and RIP functionality from the acknowledged market leader in the packaging and labelling sectors.

In line with its strategic objective to secure continued growth, Domino has announced three new additions to its senior team, each of whom bolsters the company’s renowned industry expertise while maximising opportunities within its major market sectors. Alan Mutch and Peter Lister join Domino’s Cambridge-headquartered operations as Product Managers for thermal ink jet (TIJ) and secondary coding respectively, while Jon Pritchard has been appointed Digital Printing Market Sector Manager.

In particular, Domino’s next-generation D-Series plus range of industrial scribing lasers has enjoyed massive success since the start of the year, surpassing forecasts by a significant margin.
