BAPC Continues To Help Printers In West Midlands

Release date: 16.01.2006

The BAPC has been granted an extension to the Learning & Skills Council funded initiative operating in the West Midlands, as a result of the positive impact the project is achieving. Sidney Bobb, Chairman of the BAPC, commented, 'We are delighted that the LSC recognised the significant difference our intervention is making to printers in the area, and are both pleased and flattered that they want us to continue our work. Those printers who benefited from our help have certainly expressed their appreciation of our efforts which has resulted in greater profits and efficiency. Our team looks forward to assisting many more businesses during 2006.' More than 150 print businesses in the area have benefited from free training as a result of the scheme. The tuition provided has covered an extremely diverse range of requirements, encompassing expert advice on sales and marketing, websites and e-commerce, and business strategy, and extending as far as hands-on machine training for shopfloor personnel. 'We've been making an impact in all sorts of areas and in a very wide range of company sizes, and our aim is to build upon that success,' Bobb adds.
