Following this month's launch of the Mini 76 TPE-H (Thermal, Perfector, Encapsulator, Heidelberg feeder) - the world's first laminator/encapsulator - UK manufacturer Autobond is claiming one of the most important recent breakthroughs in finishing technology. In addition to its unique ability to be used for single/double sided laminating or encapsulation, the new machine offers a range of optional features that enable it to be used in the production of floor graphics, pressure sensitive adhesive and fridge magnet lamination.

Russian commercial printer Borus Print believes that a large number of sheet-fed printers in Russia could benefit from installing an Autobond laminator, but for now the Tula based company is one of the few that can make the claim following the recent delivery of an Autobond Mini 76 T.

Canadian laminating house, Grovetree Press, says that by the end of December it had laminated almost one million sheets on its new Autobond Mini 105 TPHS since the machine went into production in October.

UK manufacturer Autobond is launching what it believes may be a world first in the graphic arts industry. From December onwards all new Autobond laminators will incorporate wireless webcam and Skype phone facilities, which will give the company the ability to provide customers with instant advice if they are experiencing a problem during production, regardless of where they are situated.

Autobond's Mini Digital 36 TP has become the UK and Ireland's leading sheet-fed laminator for the digital print market, where printers increasingly want to improve the image quality and durability of the final printed product. Visitors to Autobond's stand during DPW will be able to see demonstrations of the Mini Digital 36 TP, which is capable of laminating gloss film on the top and magnetic material on to the bottom of an SRA3 sheet.

Autobond has had its best Graph Expo ever, with seven orders taken during the show for the MINI 105 model alone.
